Hello there and welcome!
I am passionate about colourful and sustainable design!
I have always been creative and loved making things since I was a child growing up in South Africa. I’d paint and draw, create dolls from paper, build houses from twigs and leaves, pressed flowers and was always inspired by nature in all of it’s technicolour glory.
This creativity carried on in to my adult life. I am passionate about interior design, surface design, Sustainability, zero waste, upcycling and DIY. I have an obsession for the use of colour, culture and adding my own quirky twists to all aspects of design. This passion lead me to study a Bachelors degree in Interior Design Decoration at Southampton Solent University, where I graduated with top marks and a First Class Honours.
Since then I have worked for over 3 years in the Interior Industry, with experience as a freelance surface pattern designer, a Kitchen Designer for Wren Kitchens and a Designer for Neptune. I initially started Danica Interiors as an Interiors blog where I shared ideas and inspirations on how to DIY your own unique pieces for your home or talk about sustainable products and companies and, never one to just stop there and always looking for opportunities to learn, I studied under the mentorship of Jo Chrobak and graduated from the Interior Design Business School. From initial consultations through to the finishing touches on a room, my clients receive expert guidance throughout the whole design process.
